We are fighting for the survival of our projects.
Whether between burning tents in Moria, during evacuations from Afghanistan or medical missions in Gaza: we help where states fail. When there is a crisis, we do not wait for donations, but act immediately and remain on site even after the cameras have left.
The crises are piling up, our buffers are depleted.
In five years, we have built up a Europe-wide network with over 200 local projects. People from the #LeaveNoOneBehind movement are always at the side of refugees in various countries as they flee through Europe’s isolationist hell.
Last year alone, we were able to save five local projects on Lesbos, Samos, in Athens and in Poland from financial collapse. We have continued to support existing projects in Ukraine and Gaza and are still active in the Mediterranean 12 years after the shipwreck off Lampedusa.

In war zones such as the Gaza Strip or Ukraine, people have to be evacuated from frontline areas and provided with medical care. A medical evacuation costs 1000€.
Aeople have to be rescued from distress at sea in the Mediterranean. Every hour of operation of our civilian rescue coordination center costs €20.
In Greece people are provided with food, hygiene packages and clean laundry. Each food package costs €10.
On the Greek islands of Lesbos and Samos, criminalized refugees need lawyers to protect them from life sentences. A court case costs us between 1500 and 2000 euros.
Along the Balkan route or at the Polish-Belarusian border, pushbacks have to be documented, medical assistance provided or sleeping bags and shoes handed out. A pair of shoes costs around €12.
